Davido blasts MC Oluomo over opposition to Adeleke's NURTW ban

Davido blasts MC Oluomo over opposition to Adeleke's NURTW ban

Afrobeats superstar Davido has blasted National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) President Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, for opposing the Osun State Government's decision to suspend the union's operations across the state.

The singer's reaction followed MC Oluomo's criticism of Governor Ademola Adeleke's directive suspending NURTW activities in motor parks, halting the collection of transport levies and ordering security agencies to arrest anyone operating in the union's name after violent clashes between rival factions.

Speaking through his deputy, Aliyu Issa Ore, during the inauguration of a caretaker committee in Abuja, MC Oluomo insisted that no state governor has the authority to suspend the union's activities.

"Today, we heard that the state governor in Osun suspended the activities of our union, which they don't have that power. Not a single state governor has power to suspend the activities of the union because we are not under any state."

Reacting on social media, Davido, who is Governor Adeleke's nephew, mocked the NURTW president's comments.

"MC OLUOMO WEY NO FIT COMPOSE SENTENCE DEY TALK ðŸ˜‚ KUDOSUUUUU."

The Afrobeats star later shared another post on his Instagram Story, taking another swipe at MC Oluomo.

"@kingmcoluomo dem say u Dey game... I doubt lol look ur mirror."

Davido's remarks have since sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users weighing in on the exchange between the singer and the NURTW president.
